The Lower St Johns River Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) provides a forum to universities, agencies, citizen groups, and private interests to share technical information about the environmental status and trends in the Lower St Johns River in Northeast Florida.  The TAC meets quarterly to present scientific and management information about water quality and habitat in the Lower St Johns River Watershed.

The TAC has been organized since the 1980s when it advised the Surface Water Improvement and Management (SWIM) Program and the development of the SWIM plan for the Lower Basin.  Since that time its roles and responsibilities have evolved, but the Committee has continued its function as a scientific forum throughout its existence.

This website was established to enhance communications among the members and anyone interested in the scientific study of the Lower St Johns.  We hope that the information on this site will be a resource for better understanding about the complex dynamics and the unique environments of the Lower Basin.
